Verity was amazing I highly recommend booking her. Communication was excellent and I had a lot of questions. On the day she was so sweet and her performances were utterly fantastic . She couldn't have been more perfect. She really made our day so special. I can't thank her enough.

The lady was lovely. Although we were all shocked that it was a 3min act when it states 45 on the duration which never says about 20 mins before and 20mins after to get ready. £301 for 3 minutes was not what. We had planned for a hen party and I would like for someone to get in touch about some money back

Burlesque Dancers in Manchester: the insider buyer’s guide

Thinking about hiring Burlesque Dancers in Manchester? Excellent choice. This city does atmosphere better than almost anywhere: red-brick mills, lofty studios, boutique hotel lounges and moody basement spaces all lend themselves to a dose of vintage glamour or a modern, tongue-in-cheek twist. Whether you’re planning a warehouse wedding, an agency showcase, a media launch or a stylish hen night, burlesque can turn a decent party into a story people tell for years. Below, we walk you through styles, prices, staging, scheduling and the little details that separate a solid booking from a show-stopping one.

Why burlesque lands so well in Manchester

Manchester has a playful, creative party culture with a proud alt streak. That means two things. First, audiences here appreciate craft: tight choreography, character, costuming and a clear concept. Second, they’re open to fun and flair, from Gatsby glitz to neon-lit neo-burlesque. The Northern Quarter’s speakeasy aesthetic, the music heritage running from jazz to indie, and the city’s booming film and media scene all make burlesque feel right at home.

The main burlesque styles you can book

  • Classic Gatsby and gin Think 1920s elegance, fan dances, corsetry, gloves, sparkle and slow-burn tease set to swing and early jazz. Perfect for black-tie weddings and corporate hospitality.
  • Northern Quarter speakeasy Vintage flavours with a modern wink: jazz and electro-swing, smoky styling, cheeky audience rapport. Ideal for loft parties and hip hospitality rooms.
  • Neo-burlesque and alt Contemporary, bold and often character-driven. Expect inventive music choices, unusual props and a knowing sense of humour. Brilliant for creative agencies and media launches.
  • Vegas showgirl Feathered headdresses, sequinned costumes and high-impact choreography. Great for high-energy entrances, awards walk-ups and photo-led events.
  • Pin-up and rock’n’roll A 50s-leaning look with upbeat tracks and sassy stagecraft. Hen parties and birthday bashes love this.
  • Cabaret host plus showcase One performer anchors the night as MC, linking short feature routines by themselves or a small troupe. Works beautifully when you want the entertainment woven through the event, not just in one burst.

Typical packages you’ll see on Poptop

  • Spotlight solo Two featured routines of 8–12 minutes each, with a costume change and curated tracks in between.
  • Duo or trio feature Matched costumes and synced choreography for bigger visual punch; often used to open a room or bridge between speeches and dancing.

  • Hosted cabaret hour A 45–60 minute arc with an MC, two or three set pieces and playful audience interaction, tailored to your crowd and brand tone.
  • Burlesque workshop for hens A friendly, body-positive session covering simple steps, posture and a mini routine. Perfect ice-breaker before the evening.
  • Ambient meet-and-greet High-glam costumed performers for guest arrival, photo moments and soft interaction, followed later by a feature routine.
  • Branded or themed mini-sets Short performance hits to punctuate a product reveal, awards announcement or content drop.
  • Price guide for Manchester

For Burlesque Dancers in Manchester, you’ll usually be looking at £380–£750. Where you land in that range depends on:

    • Number of performers and routines
    • Choreography complexity and rehearsal time
    • Costume scale, feathers and custom elements
    • Travel and load-in effort for converted mills and basement spaces
    • Day of the week and finish time
    • Any bespoke soundtrack edits or brand integration

    As a quick steer:

    • Solo impact set with two routines and a change often sits near the lower-to-middle of the range.
    • Duo or hosted cabaret with extra staging and MC elements lands in the middle range.
    • Bespoke concepts with multiple performers, premium costuming and additional appearances tend to reach the top of the band.

With Poptop, you’ll see instant, all-inclusive pricing for each act, so you can compare looks, runtime and cost in seconds.

Matching the act to your event type

    • Warehouse weddings Use a classic piece early evening to shift from dinner to dancing, then a higher-energy showgirl routine later to relight the floor. The scale of a mill space suits big feathers, clean sightlines and a central runway or riser.
    • Agency showcases Choose a sharp neo-burlesque act with crisp, modern tracks and a charismatic intro. Keep sets short and punchy between content segments. If clients are circulating, add a meet-and-greet costumed presence for arrivals.
    • Media parties Treat performance like a reveal. Dim to a tight spot, roll a dramatic opener, then straight to photography while the energy peaks. Brand-adjacent colours in costume read beautifully on camera.
    • Stylish hens Start with a light-hearted workshop to get everyone laughing, then invite the pro for a feature set while guests cheer on their newly learned shimmy. It’s playful, inclusive and memorable.

Venues and spaces: what to check

    • Converted mills and warehouses Gorgeous bones, unpredictable acoustics. Bring a compact PA or confirm the venue’s system is dance-ready. Mark a performance zone with light so guests know where to focus.
    • Loft spaces Usually strong sightlines. Think about a simple backdrop or lighting wash so costumes pop on camera.
    • Boutique hotels Often perfect for classic or Gatsby styling. Confirm a private changing area close to the stage and a clear route to the performance spot.
    • Basement bars and low ceilings If headpieces are planned, confirm height. Low ceilings favour tighter choreography and close-up charisma over high lifts.

    Also worth confirming:

    • A private, well-lit changing space with a mirror
    • A stable, non-slippy floor (no loose rugs)
    • Sound source compatibility for the act’s tracks
    • Simple show lighting or at least a focused wash
    • Clear photography rules, so everyone’s comfortable
    • Insurance and compliance; many pro performers carry public liability cover as standard

Themes and playlists that feel truly Manc

    • Northern Quarter Speakeasy Electro-swing, brass stabs, subtle vintage styling. Think moody uplighting, small cocktail tables and a witty, intimate set.
    • Gatsby and Gin A polished 1920s look with fans and sparkle. Jazz standards, champagne coups, elegant timing.
    • Neo-burlesque and alt A bolder palette, contemporary tracks and character-driven storytelling. Ideal for creative and media guests who want something unexpected.
    • Vegas Showgirl Big entrance energy. Feather fans, glitter and high-gloss choreography tailored to awards and brand reveal moments.

If you’ve chosen a colour story for your event, let the performer know early. Many can tweak accessories to match your palette for a cohesive look throughout the space.

    A running order that works

    • Guest arrival Ambient meet-and-greet in costume or a curated playlist to set the tone.
    • Set one: scene-setter A classic or alt routine to gather attention and tell the room “the show has begun”.
    • Social and service window Drinks, canapés, quick photos with the performer.
    • Set two: the hit Higher-energy choreography, a costume change or a reveal moment. If you’re doing speeches or a product drop, place this here.
    • Late-night cameo A short, surprise encore or DJ collab to tip the room into party mode.

What to ask before you book

    • Set length and number of routines
    • Style options and music cues you can approve
    • Costume colours and whether they can align with your brand or wedding palette
    • Content level, from cheeky PG to racier adult-only rooms
    • Technical needs: sound source, mic for MC, lighting preferences
    • Space requirements: performance area size, ceiling height, backstage access
    • Arrival, get-in and turnaround timings
    • Insurance and safety practices
    • Photography and social media guidelines

Professional burlesque is all about artistry and respect. A clear brief means the performer can deliver the perfect tone for your audience.

    Keeping it inclusive and brand-safe

Great burlesque is playful, body-positive and built on consent. A few simple steps keep everyone comfortable:

    • Set your content rating early and confirm with the venue.
    • Agree a no-touch policy and communicate it cheerfully to guests.
    • Ensure easy access to the performance area and backstage for any guests or performers with mobility needs.
    • Embrace variety. Manchester’s scene includes classic showgirls, tattooed starlets, comic burlesque, and male and non-binary performers. The more you lean into authentic casting, the more your event will feel like Manchester.

How Poptop makes the whole thing effortless

    • Enjoy a truly friendly attitude You’re not just hiring a routine; you’re booking an experience with people who love what they do. Our performers bring warmth, professionalism and a knack for reading the room so guests feel welcome and involved.
    • Plan your party in minutes, not days Time is precious. Poptop shows instant, all-inclusive pricing and clear package details, so you can decide fast without back-and-forth quoting.
    • Get an event that’s uniquely yours From music choices to costume accents, suppliers tailor details to your brief. Share your palette, your favourite tracks or a nod to how you met, and we’ll weave it into the performance.
    • Relax and plan without the anxiety You’ll get clear updates and a tidy timeline. Knowing who’s arriving when and what’s needed removes the guesswork, so you can enjoy the build-up instead of worrying about it.
    • Find what you need effortlessly Pop in your date, headcount and postcode and you’ll see a curated list of Burlesque Dancers in Manchester who fit. Compare looks, runtimes and prices at a glance.
    • Discover everything in one convenient place If you’re also sorting a DJ, a photo booth or catering, keep it under one roof. It’s easier to coordinate, simpler to track and far kinder to your calendar.
    • Host a party that will be remembered Burlesque is a conversation starter. Book an act that suits your theme and you’ll give guests a moment they’ll talk about long after the lights come up.
    • Book with confidence and complete security We vet our suppliers carefully and back bookings with platform protection. If something unexpected happens, we’ll help you find a suitable alternative. Your money is secure, and your show goes on.

Lead times, logistics and final polish

    • When to book For peak Saturdays, secure your first-choice act 8–12 weeks out. Mid-week and shoulder dates often have excellent performers available at shorter notice.
    • Arrival and tech Most soloists allow around 45–60 minutes on site before showtime to change, warm up and sound-check. If you’re in a mill or basement, allow a little extra time for load-in.
    • Sound and light If the venue’s PA is basic, a compact speaker can transform the atmosphere. Add a simple warm wash or spot and the costumes will come alive in photos.
    • Content and comms Share your guest profile and desired tone early. Confirm the MC script points if you’re using a hosted cabaret, and decide where photos are best taken to keep the show area clear.
    • The detail that makes it sing Align cocktails or welcome drinks to your theme, add a dress code hint on the invite and mention the showtimes so guests don’t miss the magic.

    Putting it all together

If you want polished glamour, choose Gatsby and gin styling for the first set and a showgirl kicker later. If your crowd lives for the alt scene, go neo-burlesque with a witty MC and a soundtrack that nods to Manchester’s musical DNA. Warehouse weddings deserve big silhouettes and clear sightlines; basement bars thrive on intimacy and charm. Whatever you pick, keep the run of show tight, the tech simple but intentional, and the brief specific.
