This trio of likeminded musicians formed in early 2017, and have already made their mark with their upcoming group. Coming from projects of their own (TEYR, Crossharbour, Céilí Max), Tad Sargent (GUITAR, BOUZOUKI, BODHRAN, VOCALS), James Gavin (FIDDLE, GUITAR) and Dominic Henderson (UILLEANN PIPES, WHISTLES, VOCALS) blend their intrigue with new sounds with the old styles of the music they grew up with. Born in London, Tad, James and Dominic having grown up playing on the session circuit as accomplished musicians in their own right, and also having taught extensively in their fields, now turn their heads towards hitting stages at events around the country with a new, exciting, and vibrant sound. Their music has been described as "Ear Candy For The Gods" by Bill Barclay (Director Music at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, and Guardian Columnist). Between them, the lads have played at venues ranging from the Royal Albert Hall, The Union Chap...

Hi, We're getting married in Glasgow 5 mins from the city centre on the 4th March 2017. I was hoping to surprise my wife to be with a band to restart the party after the break in the evening for about 30 mins. With such a short set I was hoping for an acoustic set to maximise the surprise. She loves Mariachi bands, as well as the Mariachi covers of modern songs (like the Dorito adverts). Its a bit of a long shot at this late stage and this might not be possible at all. But was just looking for a quote, as you can imagine planning and paying for a wedding is costly! The venue is German themed, so a german band may work if mariachi isn't available, if they can do covers. Thanks
I am planning a charity fundraiser for Macmillan on behalf of my employer. It will be a glasgow city venue with 100+ guests. The theme will be roaring 20's.
Hi- I am planning to hold a fundraiser country/ folk night. I am looking for a good, up-beat country band with maybe a wee bit Scottish folk thrown in. Usually around £100 people attend. My date is a little flexible.
An indoor event with a stage available in the Corinthian club Glasgow. Graduation ball for Architecture students.
Hi I'm looking for a ceilidh band for our upcoming wedding. I've probably left it too late now but worth checking. Wedding is 14 Oct 2017 in dunkeld. We are looking for a band but not necessarily to play a full normal set. We'd like a good few songs that get people going then probably a dj for a bit with the band doing songs in between non ceilidh music. Or like 2 x 30 to 40 mins sets. Or a mix of the above really. An idea for availability and cost would be perfect. Thanks Julieann
The event is in door. The venue will be confirmed next week. Over 300 guests will be attending. Scottish National Party flagship event.

Hi, I'm organising a wedding in portrush Northern Ireland and am looking for a band. I don't want to clique cheesy wedding band but want a band who'll get everyone on the dance floor (young and old).
Excellent evening with the Spring Heeled Jacks. Great music and a lovely atmosphere. Everyone young and old loved the dancing and the caller was fantastic in coaxing even the most reluctant dancers onto the floor. The band were very talented and friendly. All our guests said what a great evening they had and and you can't want for more than that.
We had a fantastic time! There was good communication from initial contact through to the end of the event. The band and caller were excellent and she ( the caller )was very encouraging and responsive to the needs of the dancers!!! Most people "had a go" and those who didn't, enjoyed the entertainment. I have had many messages from guests ,since the night, telling me what great fun they had. I would not hesitate to book them again. Thanks for a great night.
Xavier and the guys were fantastic, they got the party going and were really good fun. We had a great time and they definitely helped to set the mood right. I would recommend Mariachi Rey to anyone - good times !!
