Midrod Ends are a well established ten piece party band playing music from fifties swing, soul, motown, rock, to the present day featuring songs from Louis Prima to Robbie Williams, Amy Winehouse, Ed Sheeran and the Killers.

Formed in 1965 the band created a substantial following in the South West also playing at such venues as the Flamingo Club in Wardour Street London

In 1969 they recorded an album under the name Brainchild called "Healing of the Lunatic Owl" following the trend at the time of Brass "Prog Rock" The Album made the Luxembourg Charts in March 1970.
This album was re released in 2010 and is still available. The band played many BBC sessions for the likes of Johnny Walker and Annie Nightingale, and acquired a following in other London Clubs such as the "Revolution", Scotch St James, Blaise's, Samantha's, and the Bag O' Nails.
Touring Spain in 1970 as the backing band to sixties star Billie Davis (Tell Him/Want you to be my Baby/Angel of the Morning) they achieved further success.

In 1971 the band went their separate ways but in 2009 met up to play a reunion gig at their home venue in Glastonbury. It went so well that we reformed and are still going today and have built a substantial following as before in the 1960s. Since then as with all bands members have come and gone but the ethos of the band remains the same to enjoy what we do and play it really well

The line up is now:
Guitar Robbie Bevan
Bass Tony Scragg
Keys Chris Jennings (original member)
Drums Shaun Rigby
Tenor Sax Goran Schmidt
Alto Sax Lynn Cox
Trumpet Ian Ackery
Vocals Glynn Webster
Vocals Sally Anne Scragg
Vocals Emma Powell

We can provide a night's fun entertainment as we really enjoy what we do, playing well and it shows.
