Well known for its dynamic, rhythmic style Spring Heel Jacks is a Chelmsford - based ceilidh / barn dance band playing mainly traditional tunes but with a touch of rock, jazz or a twist or two thrown in. The band is available for a wide range of occasions including fund raising events, weddings, birthday parties, wedding anniversaries, town twinning, clubs and societies, corporate entertainment and festivals. So if you want a cracking ceilidh, blistering barn dance or humming hoedown look no further.
Spring Heeled Jacks provided a great night of music and dancing at our recent Harvest barn dance. Great music, clear caller, variety of dances which were joined in by old and young alike. We've had lots of great feedback. From an organisers point of view they were also great to work with, clear communication, prompt setting up and clearing away, and also flexible to when arranging our initial timetable and when things didn't go entirely to plan. What a great band! Extremely talented musicians, a patient & entertaining caller and lively tunes all helped to create a brilliant atmosphere that really made our party go with a swing. Everyone said they had a wonderful time & the band was great, the only problem was that the evening went too quickly! They all said that, & they all stayed right to the end at midnight, so I guess they were telling the truth!

I know some of these reviews are quite old but I hope they are usable. In the past we have not asked for reviews and, whilst several of our clients have written thank you messages, most have not been suitable (e.g. included personal details, photos etc) or we have not yet been given permission to use them.

Ideally about 4 m by 6 m but we have played in smaller spaces including small village hall stages and on an agricultural trailer.
