Sinnamon Shortcake is the cabaret persona adopted by performer Samantha Yates. An established actor and troupe dancer for over ten years, her love for burlesque grew after being diagnosed with a physical disability six years ago. After feeling limited by her body’s abilities, she has now learned to celebrate them, and feels ready to take the plunge into the sultry world of solo burlesque and cabaret. She is a member of the Haus of Rebels burlesque troupe taught by Ruby D’Woo. She is also available for hosting and singing, and regularly performs with theatre companies and with a musical theatre school.
Her vocal range falls in mezzo-soprano. She is also available for stage kittening/managing and similar roles.
Sinnamon was a lovely little additional act at our Wedding reception in April. She was in touch prior to the date and tailored her act to suit our request and theme. She was reliable, friendly and put on a great little fun show.
Sinnamon has a great professional attitude on and off the stage. Her costumes are spectacular and her performances bring joy to the soul and life to the party.
