Thank you so much for all your wonderful piping on Saturday! Everyone really enjoyed it and apparently it created a fantastic atmosphere in the Church before the service. You might not have realised that - but they all adored it. I'm sorry it rained on you though and also that Maddi didn't get a photo with you. Thank you also for your flexibility in staying for the service and giving them such a special send off. It would have felt very flat without your pipes filling the air.

Robin played for our son and fiance's wedding at St. Anthony's Chapel Ruins, Holyrood Park, Edinburgh. His presence and his music completed the whole ceremony. Robin is such a lovely man, very sociable and kind. He piped Evan and Lindsay up the path to the ruins, and of course, piped her in to her waiting groom as the ceremony began. Robin was very punctual arriving in plenty of time for the wedding. His hiring was very easy to arrange as he was very punctual in responding to all emails. I would highly recommend this wonderful Bagpiper, Robin Hay and would definitely hire again if we ever had another event in Edinburgh.
Robin was piper for us on our wedding in Oran Mor last Saturday, and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a piper for any occasion - obviously it's a prerequisite at a Scottish wedding IMO (our guests from the USA loved it!) He played as our guests arrived, and then played Highland Cathedral as I walked down the aisle to meet my Husband-to-be (as you can imagine he sounded AMAZING in the acoustics of the Oran Mor Auditorium). He then provided my Husband and I with a memorable piped entrance to our reception dinner. Not only is Robin a superb musician, he was also very helpful and accommodating when we decided to postpone our wedding last year due to the pandemic - a decision I am glad we made. We asked Robin to pipe at our wedding. He was very organised in the run up to our big day. He was helpful when it came to song choices and played all the songs we asked. Robin piped outside our venue to welcome our guests. Then up & down the aisle. (AISLE SONG - A THOUSAND YEARS BY CHRISTINA PERI & MAIRIS WEDDING). He then piped us to the top table, where he did a toast and piped himself back out to 500 Miles. This was good to get everyone going! We even had a few guests shed a tear!

We hired Robin and his amazing Bagpipe talents, to help celebrate my Mother's 70th birthday event at the Corinthian in Glasgow. Nothing was too much to ask and Robin was extremely accommodating with all our requests, including presenting my Mother with a red rose as she departed from her chauffer driven car. The flower was a special touch and welcomed by Robin, without hesitation as an additional request. Our chosen tunes were instantly recognisable, pitch perfect and all the family very emotional watching our Mother being piped into the venue by a Scottish Piper, playing the wonderful Caledonia. Robin was the piper for our wedding on 18/7/21. He was superb from start to finish! Before the big day Robin checked in constantly to make sure all details were still correct and that we were happy with the timings of his piping. He was very helpful on the day and his piping was the icing on the cake! We would highly recommend Robin if anyone is looking for a great piper!
Robin was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly helpful on the lead up to our wedding, answering any questions we had (which were quite a few!), he helped suggest music which we were very happy with. On the day, his piping was beautiful, really added that special touch. Lovely rendition of highland cathedral for my entrance! He was so friendly and approachable, many of our guests enjoyed listening to him perform and chatting to him. You can tell he really enjoys what he does. Depends on the clients requirements. Ranges from 30 mins to a few hours.
It is a possibility yes, happy to discuss with the client. I have in the past written music and converted onto the bagpipes for a client event.
