  A busy, hardworking singer and actor with a passion for Swing Jazz and the classic Hollywood Musicals, Scottish born Paul Ellis has been entertaining the rich and famous for over 25 years and on 4 different continents. He sings solo with backing tracks, with a pianist, as part of a quartet or with full big swing band.

• What are the highlights of your career?

  From the famous Green Bar at London’s Café Royal to exclusive private parties for clients of celebrity status in Marbella, Bermuda, Morocco, Croatia, Spain and Monaco, Paul’s smooth, mature and mellow tone romances his audience with old-fashioned charm and humour. As the resident singer of renowned jazz and piano bar Playbach 11 in Marbella and regular performer at London’s Café Royal, Paul has been performing for celebrities for a number of years on several different continents. Private birthday parties, weddings, Hogmanay parties and house parties, Paul’s clients include Sean Connery, Shirley Bassey, the Princess of Morocco, Sir Philip Green (owner of the Topshop empire), Cilla Black, Beverly Callard (Coronation Street), Alan Davies (star of TV Show Johnathan Creek) and Robert Stigwood (Producer of Grease and Saturday Night Fever).Sharing the stage with Edwin Starr, Anthony Newley, Rita Coolidge, Cybil Shephard, Paul has also performed for football stars Kevin Keegan, Alan Ball and Gordon Banks; F1 legends Fernando Alonso and Damon Hill; and rock legend Jimmy Page.

• How can event planners pay for your services?

  Usually by direct debit. 25% deposit to secure the date and the balance 4 weeks before the event.

• How long do you play for?

  Usually x3 sets of 45mins but Paul is flexible and happy to meet individual requirements.

• Do you have your own PA and lighting?

  PA but no lighting

• Do you have Public Liability Insurance and PAT tested equipment?

  Yes

• How much space do you require?

  It depends on the booking option

• My favourite tune is not on your list. Will you be able to play it?

  Quite possibly! Please ask!

• How many breaks do you take? How long are they?

  After each set of 45mins or so but that can be flexible. 10/15mins max.
