Bagpiper with ten years event hire experience.
Millie the Piper | @milliethepiper
I learnt bagpipes as a third instrument to trombone and piano, the pipes captured me straight away. I love playing for people, and enjoy taking on new music, or transposing covers for pipes. No matter where you are from, hearing bagpipes at a special event, or from across a misty hillside, can stir something in the listener.
Whatever your event, party or special moment, I'd love suggest music to make it memorable.

• Jan. 29, 2022Millie was a delight - arrived slightly later than anticipated but on time to pipe the guests in. Appropriately dressed and played traditional tunes as requested. She even offered to help out when our pianist was struck down with covid!

• Oct. 2, 2021Such a beautiful added extra to our day! Guests said it made them really emotional to hear the bagpipes start. I’m just so sad that I didn’t get to enjoy more of it as I was getting ready! Millie did a fantastic job! ⭐️
FAQs
How long do you play for?
As long as is needed! I generally do sets of about 4 songs per set. With a few minutes in between each.
My favourite tune is not on your list. Will you be able to play it?
I have a musical background and can sightread, so if I do not know a tune you would like, I can learn it in short notice.
How many breaks do you take? How long are they?
A few breaks across an hour's play, a few minutes per break. For 2 or more hours, a a 15 minute halftime break will do.
