John Danbury - Magician Extraordinaire

Having started life as a Musical Theatre Actor, and has been a full time professional magician for over 20 years. His Cabaret shows include a blend of honest fun and audience interaction as he uses a relaxed natural comic style to present some unique and memorable magic and mind reading effects that can induce laughter and awe from any audience.

John performs Magic of all types including strolling and mix and mingle at cocktail parties, street style magic for high street store openings and promotions including Selfridges, Swatch, Harrods, Louis Vuitton and John Lewis, corporate receptions and award ceremonies, close up & table top magic for corporate events, weddings and private parties, cabaret and stage magic, parlour and platform magic, trade show and exhibition stand magic for companies such as Proctor & Gamble, Oracle computers and Dulux paints.

John Danbury has the experience to work in any environment for any event from being able to approach small groups of people and make the gasp and cheer in amazement through to standing up in someone’s living room at a private event and entertaining the family through to stage and cabaret performances on stage in corporate environments and on Cruise Ships and in Theatres.

John Danbury has been resident close up magician for the London Hilton, park lane and on The Orient Express along with regular performances for major restaurant chains and hotels including TGI Fridays, Pizza Express and Pitcher and Piano. Also having performed for HRH Prince William and HRH Prince Harry at the Diana memorial concert and subsequently performing for HRH Prince Charles at a private function at his home. The winner of 4 awards for close up magic and a member of The Magic Circle and an associate member of The Inner Magic Circle with Silver Star for performance.

As to theatre, stage and cabaret, John, Having run and compered at one of London’s top Cabaret restaurants for many years has been lucky enough to perform on many of the UK’s finest theatre stages and is a regular on the bill of The Good Old Days at Leeds city varieties and also produces his own monthly variety shows at The Victoria Theatre in Halifax. He has performed at holiday venues both in the UK and at Thompson holiday venues across the world as well as some appearances for Saga & P&O Cruise lines in the past.
