"Dear Martin & Jo,
We’re beginning to feel as if we’re back to earth after the “busy-ness” of last weekend. I meant to write and thank you both sooner but various events have got in the way.
We want to say an enormous thank you to you both for catering for our party. We’ve had loads of very appreciative comments about the tastiness of the food, especially the delicious cakes and the quantity of it! Rob’s PA, Fiona, wanted me to tell Jo that the Tofu was exquisite - apparently you’d had a conversation with her about it & asked for some feedback, but she didn’t manage to get back to you. We’ve been eating the Brownies and baklava all week and have finally reached saturation point! Several people said that they don’t usually like baklava but your cherry one was so more-ish. We froze the leftover meat dishes so are set up for quite a while. Sunday lunch was sorted for our close family after we’d done all the washing up and sorted the Village Hall, but there was still a lot left over. So, a huge thank you again for making our evening wonderful!
We hope that you had a good rest on Saturday night and a reasonable journey home. I have your plates, stainless steel pouring jugs etc ready to take to Jo Heaf’s on Monday when I go to Art so that you can collect them when you come in October.
Thanks again for everything…
Sue & Rob xx"
