Description
ELITE SYNCOPATIONS is a Ragtime orchatra specialising in music from the Ragtime era - a golden age of Rags, Two-Steps, Cake-Walks, Marches, Waltzes and Tangos. The music performed by the band dates from 1896 to 1917 using traditional instruments in authentic Ragtime band arrangements from the period - as far as we're aware, we are the only band of its kind in the UK. The music we play is upbeat, tuneful, colourful, sometimes quirky and will provide a joyful and sunny ambience to your event, whatever the weather.
We're a flexible band meaning you can have any number of musicians starting with 4 players (piano + 3 wind) up to a full 11-piece orchestra (piano, wind, strings and rhythm). We can play indoors or outside and provide amplification if required. We will also provide an electric piano if the venue doesn't have one.

Garden parties, wedding drinks / reception, village fetes
How long do you play for?
Up to 3 sets of 30 minutes each set
Do you have your own PA and lighting?
We have our own PA, but no lighting.
Do you have Public Liability Insurance and PAT tested equipment?
Yes we do
How much space do you require?
This depends on the size of the band booked, from 4 players up to 11.
My favourite tune is not on your list. Will you be able to play it?
With enough notice we could arrange this for you. There would be an additional music arrangement charge for this.
How many breaks do you take? How long are they?
A 20 minute break between sets would be the normal. So with the full 3 sets that would be 2 breaks.
What do we need to provide?
We need an electricity supply and chairs for some of the musicians. Some of the instruments are heavy so good vehicle access would also be necessary. If we are playing at an outside event we would need some sort of covered area in which to play.
