Passionate about Jazz and Soul, The Jazz Rats perform a variety of high quality music, from eloquent Jazz standards and upbeat Swing, to popular Soul classics and mellow contemporary Pop. They also do a Great Gatsby show and Christmas show!
With a combined experience of over 15 years as professional musicians and complimenting each other’s style beautifully, George and Molly perform wonderfully fresh arrangements of popular tunes with flawless execution, leaving audiences captivated.
Having been likened to Oscar Peterson, George has years of experience performing to hard core Jazz fans and can take you back to the 40s and 50s for a mellow afternoon or for a foot stomping boogie-woogie for the later crowd. He also has extensive Funk and Pop experience so can hone the atmosphere to suit the requests of the client for any occasion.
Molly has the ability to seduce her audience with her beautiful silky tone when singing traditional standards for the Jazz lovers. She also has lots of experience singing funk and soul numbers and is at her best when the genres are combined to produce soul classics such as Bill Withers Ray Charles favourites.
The Jazz Rats can also tailor their set to your requirements, pooling from a large repertoire of over 300 songs and are able to easily learn and master new material as per request. Whether they compile an ideal selection of songs to compliment a quiet dinner, create the perfect atmosphere for a drinks reception or perform dynamic and high-spirited tunes to a livelier crowd, The Jazz Rats are the ultimate choice for your event.
