Description
Traditional string quartet - 2x violins, viola, cello. We play music of all genres. Arrangements can be made of special requests.
The Chanot Ensemble is a string quartet which specialises in live music for Weddings, Receptions, Corporate Events & Private Parties. We are also happy to perform at Music Society and other concerts.
Our extensive repertoire of more than 250 pieces includes classical, jazz and popular music.
Based in central Norfolk, we perform in Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire.
With many years of experience in playing both for formal, corporate events, we specialise in playing for Weddings. We are very happy to provide assistance with the planning and choice of repertoire for your special occasion. We can also arrange your special request – a feature which many couples like during the signing of the register.
For the larger events, the Chanot Ensemble has on its books many of the best musicians in East Anglia from which we are able to provide a chamber orchestra numbering from 13 – 40 musicians.

How long do you play for?
We can play for up to four hours
Do you have your own PA and lighting?
Not applicable
Do you have Public Liability Insurance and PAT tested equipment?
We have never needed PL Insurance. Our equipment is not electrical, therefore a PAT test is moot required.
How much space do you require?
We generally need about 3 X 3 metres.
My favourite tune is not on your list. Will you be able to play it?
We can generally write arrangements of special requests. There is an extra charge of £25 per arrangement.
How many breaks do you take? How long are they?
It depends on how long the event is. 1 hour event: no break 2 hour event: 1x 15 minute break 3 hour event: 2x 10 minute breaks 4+ hours event: 1x 10 minute break in each hour.

We also have a jazz trio associated with us - piano, bass and drums.
