A little bit about me... I’m Paul, an Edinburgh based wedding photographer with a love for people, stories and the wilds of Scotland. I’ve been shooting photography since I was a kid – starting out by experimenting with my Grandad’s 35mm camera back in East London. Many years later, I’m lucky enough to photograph weddings around the world.
I am now based in the beautiful city of Edinburgh and shoot here and beyond. Scotland has it all for wedding photography with its stunning landscapes, romantic cobbled streets and warm-hearted people. It’s the dream location. But it’s not just Scotland – I’m happy to travel to wherever you’ve chosen to hold your special day. Just ask.
I offer a relaxed style of photography, so if there’s anything to worry about on the day, posing for hundreds of photos isn’t one of them. Instead, I will document your wedding as it unfolds, capturing the special sparks, the tears in the eyes and the real moments of joy. But of course, we’ll get those family photos to keep the in-laws happy too!
Whether you’re having something low key or a good old knees up with all the usual shenanigans, I’ll be there to ensure you have the photographs to look back on for years to come.

We asked Paul to photograph our wedding and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. The initial conversation and booking process was straightforward and Paul immediately put us at ease as we discussed our the plans for the day. We swapped examples of what we liked and the kind of thing we were after from the pictures. We didn’t want too many posed photos, preferring more candid and relaxed shots of events as they would unfold. On the day it felt just like our friend was with us, documenting the day. Paul was very supportive, unobtrusive and timed his photos perfectly inline with our intimate wedding (under 30 people). We never felt stage managed and the whole process felt very organic. When we received the photos, only a short while after the wedding, we were delighted with the results. We have shared many of the pictures online with friends and family and we’ve had several printed individually and framed them to display at home. Also, we ordered an album through his store – containing our favourite shots – to be printed and bound, with the front and back covers coated in a cloth the same colour as my wife’s shoes from the day. Paul clearly went above and beyond in getting remarkable pictures and we will reflect happily on them for the rest of our lives – we could not be happier with the outcome. We would not hesitate to recommend Paul to others; he is truly talented in building trust, working collaboratively and in capturing fantastic pictures!
It’s difficult making decisions around suppliers for your big day. When it came to photography, we knew we wanted to capture the spirit of the occasion, and the rare opportunity that our friends and family were all together. Formal or staged wasn’t what we were looking for. Capturing a celebration was. Paul did exactly that. The entire process was calm and completely trusting from the offset–Paul was a total pleasure to work with. On the day, somehow, Paul managed to be everywhere, but in the most discreet and unobtrusive way…catching every candid moment in a relaxed and informal style. Reliving the day through Paul’s pictures has been amazing–they capture the atmosphere in every sense and in a very natural way–family, friends having a really good time! They reflect the happy day as we remember it. We can’t thank Paul enough for this. And it was a bonus to work with such a nice guy who put us completely at ease.
Paul travelled to Italy for our Lake Como wedding ceremony. He captured amazing photos both of the wedding day and the day before; this ensured we got amazing pictures of the build up and our families bonding as well as our magical day. Paul managed to tell a full story of the day with pictures that were not only natural, but perfectly positioned and showed off the incredible backdrops. We had our wedding party in an industrial brewery (back in the UK) and booked Paul again to capture the party fun times. Paul arrived well ahead of us in order to take some beautiful photos of the setting and decorations. He even took the time to ensure everyone was correctly positioned for that perfect confetti shot arrival! The photos taken capture the whole energetic, party vibe–with the use of the festoon lights above the dance floor creating some amazing compositions. He spent a lot of time discussing what we wanted beforehand and if there were particular shots he needed to get from both the ceremony and reception party. Paul surpassed our expectations and we would recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. He has a great eye for detail (amazing as I am such a perfectionist), but can balance this with capturing the moment too! I felt like a child at Christmas when the final photos arrived. An excitment I still feel each time I looked back through the photos and relive both days again and again. He could have not have done a better job!
Wedding Photography
Weddings are complicated enough, so I like to keep things simple. With your wedding package you will receive a minimum of 8 hours shooting and editing. This includes a consultation before the special day so we can get to know each other, have a chinwag and you can tell me what you would like to capture on the day. After your wedding day, your photographs will be uploaded to a private online gallery where you will have the option to download, share and even create your own bespoke wedding albums, frames and gifts. No as I take 100's of multiple photos, and then spend time editing them to find the perfect image of that moment for you! I'll aim to share between 400-600 final photos from an 8 hour shoot.
I primarily work alone, but if you require second shooter or videographers I can expand my team if requested.

The images are owned by Paul Andrews Weddings, however if you don't wish any of these images to be used for marketing purposes we can ensure they remain private for you.
