Description

Price from: £360

Have Magenta Strings play at your wedding or event as the perfect complement to your day.
We can play for wedding ceremonies, drinks receptions, meals, parties and corporate functions.

We have an extensive repertoire list, but if your favourite piece of music isn't on there, not to worry - we can write it for string quartet for you and perform it on your big day. All included in the price!

Magenta Strings was formed in 2001 when Helen Coleman (violin) and Lucy Deakin (cello) met at Leeds College of Music. Magenta has developed into a vibrant young ensemble who play for weddings and functions throughout Derbyshire and the northwest. In addition to the quartet of four players, Helen & Lucy also perform regularly as a string duo (violin & cello).

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the music you provided for our ceremony yesterday it was absolutely perfect. I loved the Aerosmith and Blink 182 pieces and hearing how good the Pachelbel piece sounded before I walked down the aisle gave me an overwhelming feeling of excitement and confidence as it was just how I had hoped it would be. Thank you so so much and I will never forget the wonderful music you provided for our very special day.

Got married at woodborough hall in Nottingham and we wanted a vintage style wedding so we booked magenta strings for our big day! The music was beautiful and so enchanting to walk down the aisle too! What an amazing quartet, very professional. It made our wedding day that little bit extra special. If you want to wow your guests then I recommend you book magenta strings after all you only get one day to feel like a princess!

We would just like to thank you, the string duo were wonderful at our wedding and brought a special elegance to our day. The arrangements we requested were played beautifully, we had many comments on the day of how lovely the duo sounded. Nice people to deal with, professional and flexible. Highly recommend.
