Cocoa Island

I hired Cocoa Island to provide a “Professional cocktail bartender” on NYE a few months in advance. They insisted I pay in full at the time of booking. On the day they informed me Jason would be coming to service me that night. Instead someone called Princess turned up and stated Jason had cancelled and she had been given the job last minute. What I got with Princess was her standing behind a bar frantically Googling “how to make a cocktail” like it was her first day behind a bar and not even being able to recognise a bottle of Prosecco or distinguish between a bottle of rum or red wine. Every drink request resulted in her pulling out her phone and then asking me questions. I’m pretty sure I could’ve made my own drinks faster. As for equipment—she turned up with none . No shaker. No jigger. No strainer. No tools of any kind. I called the supplier within 20 minute's of their staff member arriving to inform them of the issues and they stated they would call her to discuss but I never heard back from them on the night. Apparently cocktails are made with hopes, prayers, and whatever random bottles were nearby. Watching her attempt to make cocktails was totally frustrating and ruined my night. Cocoa Island refused to address the issue and I would definitely not recommend them.

Amazing barmen and bar setup for my 40th! I decided to go with Cocoa Island for my 40th birthday aftwr plenty of research and deliberation, and honestly I couldn’t have been happier with my decision. Danesh who runs the business was so helpful, great communication and flexible from before I’d even booked through to completion. The bar setup was AMAZING and fitted well into my summer beach party vibe. Everything ran so smoothly from setup to pickup. Everyone was commenting on how amazing the bar looked and importantly how amazing the cocktails tasted. We had 2 barmen (had around 80 guests) who were both great, very efficient and made great tasting drinks, the Margeritas definitely seemed to be the drink of the day! I would highly recommend cocoa island for your event! Thank you for helping to make my 40th a night all my guests will remember!

We really enjoyed having Cocoa Island here and will certainly consider having them again. It was very easy collaboration, but I didn't like these things: - I asked for 1 of the chocolates to be vegan, and when the serving staff came they didn't know which one is vegan (or if any is) and I had to google their products - the serving started 20 minutes late - I would put nuts separately because of allergies

Absolutely brilliant! Waffles and cocktails flew off the shelves, and all guests enjoyed them a great deal. Super tasty fluffy waffles with yummy toppings and carefully crafted cocktails lovingly served. Top notch service. Danesh was amazing; his attention to detail was impressive. I highly recommend their services and will be using them again.
