Recent review: Wednesday Nights in the Chagford Inn becomes a whole lot more fun thanks to Lisa and her friends playing their special style of Klezmer and gypsy music. Lisa on violin with Basil the accordionist played some great music which made you want to leap up and dance balanced by some haunting slower pieces. The guitarist provided excellent support, as did the ’basso continuo’ from the accordionist's left hand using the whole instrument to boost the sound. Sparkling and precise music - a real joy!

We couldn't get the CD to work but the band had figured out the tune, so, during their break they played it for us. which was just amazing. We are still so thankful to them! Recent review: We hired the Stomping Boondocks for our wedding in June 2019, and they were absolutely fantastic. They were communicative and professional in advance, and bent over backwards for us. On the night they were brilliant, and guests absolutely loved them. Would highly recommend.

What with atrocious weather causing extensive flooding that weekend and having to postpone the wedding from the Saturday night until the Sunday, we were more than grateful that the band was still willing and able to perform on the Sunday. Great music and excellent calling made the evening, with all participants thoroughly enjoying themselves - sometimes with a little over enthusiasm! Recent review: Kitty’s saxophone performance was perfect for our garden 70th birthday party. It added a fantastic atmosphere to the celebrations and all the guests were very complimentary about Kitty’s performance. Good choice of songs, very professional, also her vocals. Kitty has a lovey personality I would strongly recommend her.

Recent review: A fantastic band with so much patience! We ended up having a couple adjustments to the schedule we were going to follow, plus an unexpected delay to the actual start of the music playing, but Spill the Whiskey were really good at going with the flow. They managed to get almost all the guests off their chairs -- the only ones who didn't get up were those who couldn't, and made dancing fun for everyone involved. We had actual people who knew how to dance, people who had no clue, and people who shouldn't be allowed on a dancefloor (me) but somehow the band played songs that worked for all of us and the amount of fun we had just cannot be put into words. Also, they ended their set beautifully, giving us a chance to go round all our guests and exchange a few words and a hug, which meant the world to me. Fantastic band, I very much recommend them!

Recent review: We booked Blazing Saddles for my birthday barn dance and they were brilliant. We only had a duo with Tim and Debby which worked out perfectly. The music was excellent and Debby is a great caller who managed to get almost all the guests on the floor to take part in the dancing and, everyone had a great time. Debby was also easy to communicate with and very helpful during the planning stages.
