TikTok has become extremely popular over the last year or so and Reels on Instagram are equally so. This is a great way to record and share some Easter fun with your family or friends. You can use the app to watch other hilarious videos as well as create them yourself using different songs, themes and filters. Use your imagination or take inspiration from other trends in videos on the app to make your own funny Easter themed video clips.

6. Easter Arts and Crafts

Arts and crafts are a great way to stay active and keep your imagination going while stuck in the house, especially if you live with young children that are easily bored. Luckily, there are lots of Easter inspired arts and crafts to keep you occupied! Here are some of our suggestions.

7. Easter Egg Hunt

An Easter egg hunt is a lovely way of keeping a bit of normality to your Easter celebrations during lockdown. If you’re lucky enough to have a private garden or an outdoor space that you can use then it will be a great way to get outside and, hopefully, enjoy the weather. Alternatively, if you need to stay indoors, then you can always hide a few small eggs around the house and let your kids, partner or family hunt them out! If you don’t have any chocolate eggs handy, then why not hide trinkets or paper clues?

8. Host a Home Disco

Having a home disco doesn’t mean it needs to be full of people to enjoy yourselves. Sometimes dancing around in your pyjamas is the most fun you can have! Why not get your family together in your living room, or if you’re alone even join in with friends or family through a Houseparty, Zoom or Skype video chat. We’ve even put together a playlist for you to share and help you to celebrate Easter from home.

9. Paint & Dye Easter Eggs

This is an Easter tradition that can still be done from home as long as you have the right materials. You can even support small local farms or independent shops if you are able to shop from them. The eggs can be used for lovely Easter decorations around the house, or in an Easter nest taking pride of place on the dining room table.

10. Dress Up

If you’re bored of wearing your dressing gown around the house, as comfy as it is, it will make a nice change of pace to dress in your Sunday finest for Easter dinner. Whether you’d prefer just some jeans and a nice top, a ballgown, or maybe even a fancy dress in your best costume, it’s completely up to you!

11. Take Part in an Online Prayer Service

If you’d like to take part in a religious Easter service but are unable to attend in person, Churches such as the Church of England are offering online prayer services. You can find out more information and watch live services from the Church of England, here.
