We are a 2-piece playing high-energy klezmer and eastern European folk with the occasional gypsy jazz standard thrown in. We can cater for all moods - from high-energy dancing to nice background acoustic sets. We have a wide-ranging klezmer repertoire through performing the genre over many years but if you have any requests that aren't in our standard set list we will look at adding them.

About supplier

We are brothers from Somerset who grew up in a musical household. We both studied music in the north of England with Oscar studying violin at RNCM and Barney studying piano at LCM. Over the years we have played in various bands of all styles from classical to rock, jazz to folk and tango to klezmer!

I would 110% recommend Rose and Ian , we hired there band for our Sons 4th birthday and summer festival party ( house warming ) our party was the talk of the village and we were told many times that we had struck Gold , with there wonderful personalities and flawless voices we will definitely be booking them again for next year .

Honestly - look no further, these are they guys you are looking for. I booked Blag to play in the local village hall for my birthday party. They were excellent musicians and lovely guys - polite, friendly and very professional. We had a Glastonbury-like home garden festival with family and friends. We booked Shenanigans for some live entertainment in the early evening - the description of simple Irish folk music with plenty of audience participation attracted us. They were great from point of contact to their performance. Very talented, good range of Irish folk songs and great audience engagement. Made a great weekend even more enjoyable!

The Shenanigans provided the entertainment for my dad’s 88th birthday party. I can’t recommend them highly enough... absolutely fantastic. They made the room come alive created a great atmosphere ... played and sang lots of traditional Irish folk songs but also engaged the audience with stories and background to some of the songs. Definitely would book them again.
