We are a 2-piece playing high-energy klezmer and eastern European folk with the occasional gypsy jazz standard thrown in. We can cater for all moods - from high-energy dancing to nice background acoustic sets. We have a wide-ranging klezmer repertoire through performing the genre over many years but if you have any requests that aren't in our standard set list we will look at adding them.

About supplier

We are brothers from Somerset who grew up in a musical household. We both studied music in the north of England with Oscar studying violin at RNCM and Barney studying piano at LCM. Over the years we have played in various bands of all styles from classical to rock, jazz to folk and tango to klezmer!

We had a Glastonbury-like home garden festival with family and friends. We booked Shenanigans for some live entertainment in the early evening - the description of simple Irish folk music with plenty of audience participation attracted us. They were great from point of contact to their performance. Very talented, good range of Irish folk songs and great audience engagement. Made a great weekend even more enjoyable!

Silver Street Ceilidh Band played at our wedding in July this year - luckily just after restrictions were lifted so we could dance. And boy did we dance!😄 The band created a fantastic atmosphere which meant that everybody got up and threw themselves into the spirit of the ceilidh. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves (and keep taking about the fun they had).Even the few who weren't dancing enjoyed laughing at everyone else …
