Located in the heart of Newcastle’s Ouseburn Valley, the city’s cultural oasis, The Tyne Bar has been a local favourite for more than two decades.

Famous for its laidback atmosphere and an unwavering commitment to FREE live music, The Tyne Bar is the product of more than 30 years’ experience in the Newcastle pub scene…and we think the pedigree shows.

Operated by the same people who brought you the legendary Barley Mow and the Egypt Cottage in its pre-wine bar heyday, the pub boasts a signature FREE jukebox, a waterside location, and a distinctive beer garden framed by the redbrick arch of Glasshouse Bridge.

Our mission is to provide free live music for Newcastle. It’s our Free Live Music that gives The Tyne its heart and soul and we always have a full schedule of bands, singers and DJs with special events organised on Bank Holidays.

And, if you’re visiting The Tyne Bar when we don’t have live music on, our Free Jukebox rocks with some of the best alternative music that there is.
