Info about The Historic Dockyard Chatham
At The Historic Dockyard Chatham you are not just “hiring a venue”, you are buying into a complete and unforgettable experience set within a place that is quite simply like no other.
Sitting at the heart of this wonderful place is Commissioner’s House (1704), the most intact naval building from the age of sail and a truly stunning location. All weddings are bespoke, from an intimate wedding in one of the private dining rooms, to a wedding breakfast for 120 people in the garden marquee. Some choose the House’s garden bar room to host their wedding cocktail hour or the romantic 17thcentury terraced gardens as the backdrop for their wedding photos capturing their perfect day.
But we’re not just about a beautiful Georgian house, we offer so much more - with wedding ceremonies on the magnificent Victorian 3-masted sloop HMS Gannet (1878) to evening parties held in our brand new ‘Commands of the Oceans Mess Deck’. We offer experiences that no other venue can match.
The special touches we provide with each wedding means no two are the same. Immaculate detail and pure care come across as you and your partner venture into the future.
