The Cluny

The Cluny in Newcastle is a popular concert, meetings and parties venue. Almost every day, you can listen to live music here.

The place regularly hosts lectures, spoken word, comedy and theatre events. There is a strict 11 pm curfew for live concerts but the bar remains open until midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Events and Capacity
The Cluny consists of two parts. The first one has a 300 fire limit. This means that you can invite up to 250-275 guests there. The second one accommodates 130 fully-seated guests plus 180 guests can stand on ground level. Both venues are wheelchair accessible, cosy and incredibly welcoming.

Food and Drinks
Since Newcastle Cluny is not a fine-dining restaurant, its menu is rather simple and affordable. You can order salads, burgers, steaks and eggs, nachos, sandwiches, wraps, seafood or veggie platters.

For kids, there is a special menu with fish bites, homemade chips, mac & cheese and sweet potato fries.

Also, The Cluny team makes excellent BBQ.

The local bar offers a worthy selection of beers, ciders, wines and vodkas.

Parking and Accommodation
The guests can leave their cars at a free car park that is situated approximately 50 yards from the venue’s door. Also, there are two small paying car parks in the vicinity.

Just up the hill from The Cluny, you can find bed & breakfast facilities. If you walk some 5 minutes or drive some 10 minutes away, you will find more inns, hostels and hotels.
