As a venue the Star and Garter offers flexibility and an impressive venue to host events including formal and informal parties, banquet dinners, conferences, Christmas parties and weddings.

This beautiful room located on the 1st floor of the Star & Garter is available for private hires. With its thirty foot ceiling, private bar, art deco stage and natural daylight it’s sure to take your breath away.

Wander downstairs and you will find our more informal Cellar Bar which boast its own bar and dance floor. Perfect for social occasions up to 90 people standing.

The Star & Garter can provide a complete day, from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast along with a dance floor to dance the night away.

The Ballroom is licensed for civil marriage ceremonies. Our Events Manager will be in attendance to offer general assistance to you and your guests throughout the day. We can look after your programme of music and ensure the day runs smoothly
