Info about Priory House
Priory House Project is a registered charity that was set up to provide a care home for adults with learning difficulties. In 1988 Priory House opened and became part of a little hamlet called Lower Priory, Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire.
Priory House can cater for 8 residents (male or female) covering a wide range of ages and abilities.
Our home has had a number of important changes made over the years in order to improve the service to our residents. We are always looking for ways to make things better and some of the best ideas come from our residents themselves. This means that any new resident will have the opportunity to make suggestions for improvement.
Our emphasis is to provide high levels of care in a homely atmosphere where needs are catered for. Our excellent standards of care promote a sense of well being with conscientious attention for each individual in a super house set in peaceful grounds.
Around the clock care is provided under the personal supervision of the Manager and the Trustees. We have a dedicated team of Care Assistants available to help them provide the highest standard of care and comfort to our residents in the relaxed atmosphere of an elegant private home.
A modern well-equipped kitchen maintains high standards of cuisine and caters for all dietary requirements. There is also a dinning room for those who prefer not to eat in their own accommodation.
Our team of qualified staff take it in turn to sleep at the house, in case of need during the night.
Our staff work with the residents to encourage them to become more independent. Of course, they are all individuals and each resident has different needs according to their abilities. We try however to find out what our residents want and then support them in fulfilling their needs. Part of our support is to show our residents how to do things for themselves, even things that they thought they could never achieve .
