Info about Millets Farm
Bought by newlyweds John and Christine Carter in 1952, Millets Farm was originally a 300 acre dairy farm. In 1975 Nigel and Tony Carter joined the family business to explore diversification opportunities and planted 6 acres of soft fruit. The summer of 1976 saw the launch of the PYO. The development of the Farm Shop then followed in 1978.
In 1986 Frosts Garden Centre opened, owned by the Frosts family they remain integral partners on site. As the site continued to get busier the current Farm Shop and restaurant building was opened in 1990.
In 1997 Millets planted the 1st Maize Maze in the UK, gaining entry into the Guinness Book of World Records. Our seasonal events calendar has now become a major part of our attraction.
2008. Nigels children join the family business. The family business has continued to grow from strength to strength and is well known within Oxfordshire for a great family day out. As well as a large Farm Shop, Garden Centre, and Restaurants, visitors to Millets Farm can enjoy an Animal Walkway, Play Area, Woodland, Falconry Centre, Beauty Salon. So what next...?!?
