Marleybrook House is an immaculately presented seventeenth century 'chocolate box' thatched farmhouse full of unique character, history and old world charm. Former home to the legendary international singer, actress and cabaret star Eartha Kitt, Marleybrook House is in a secluded location, offering total privacy and exclusivity, yet just seven miles from the city of Canterbury. The five acres of landscaped gardens, paddocks and woodland provide the perfect setting for a quintessential English Country Wedding.

Marriage ceremonies are licensed on these premises. We offer a choice of four areas; the formal Walled Garden, the open Gladed Lawn, the Oak Framed Barn and the Grand Marquee. You and your guests are invited to explore the grounds of this exclusive venue before entering the Grand Marquee or Oak Framed Barn for your wedding breakfast and evening reception where the finishings and accessories are of the finest quality. Our country-style snug lounge and bar conveniently adjoins the marquee offering guests further space and comfort to relax and enjoy this wonderful venue for all its character. Also adjoining the marquee is our contemporary, decked and covered barbecue area with specimen trees and lush hedging.

Marleybrook House is perfect for weddings all year round providing the prettiest 'picture postcard' backdrop throughout the changing seasons. Experience the nostalgia of the many quirky features in abundance here including our authentic Vintage Fayre with Victorian Swing Boats and traditional side stalls, original haywain, gypsy caravan, vintage tractor, age-old carts, butchers bike, red telephone box and much more!

Finish the evening in style and stay in Marleybrook's traditionally renovated Showman's Carriage that is based on the pullman style carriages currently used on the Orient Express. Alternative accommodation includes our Luxurious Bridal Suite, complete with hot tub on the terrace, offering sumptuous accommodation to enjoy at your leisure. This can also accommodate up to six persons making it the ideal place for a pre wedding get together or simply a space for you to get ready on the day.
