Info about Hinwick House
Modelled on the original Buckingham Palace, Hinwick House is an aristocratic Grade I listed Queen Anne country house set in 38 acres of magnificent parkland in Bedfordshire, England.
This unique and romantic venue lies in the heart of England’s Home Counties only 47 minutes by train from London and only 30 minutes away from Milton Keynes, Bedford and Northampton. It offers accommodation on site for up to 36 guests.
This magnificent, quintessentially English, country house estate is a breathtakingly beautiful and romantic venue only a stone’s throw from London.
Over the last few years Hinwick House has undergone a fabulous and extensive restoration to return it to its former glory and is looking more stunning than ever! As a family home it feels comfortable, personal and inviting. Furnished with tasteful antiques, impressive tapestries, stunning, custom-made chandeliers and fascinating art; Hinwick House will not fail to impress.
You may choose to hire the venue just for the day but they also offer you the option of making a weekend of it as they can provide you and your wedding party with luxury accommodation in the house for up to 36 guests. Stunning lawns, beautiful gardens and historic outbuildings, to include a clock tower with a ‘Romeo and Juliet’ style balcony, complement this gracious house; making photo opportunities endless.

They are aware that you will most likely have a wonderful range of ideas to make your big day unique and special, and their helpful and friendly team will do their utmost to ensure that you can have the wedding day you’ve dreamed of.
Up to 80 guests can be seated for a wedding breakfast in the impressive Great Hall or a marquee can be linked directly to the Great Hall to create a dining area for larger parties. This means that if you have more than 80 guests you can still make use of the Great Hall for your ceremony and also for dancing later in the evening. A dramatic, double height Victorian Lounge Bar is also available to be used in conjunction with the Great Hall. However, if you are simply in search of a gorgeous and unique setting for your marquee wedding then you need look no further. The up-lit, elegant, Queen Anne wing of the house provides a truly stunning and romantic backdrop for marquees positioned on the formal lawn or parkland.
Licenses have been applied for for civil ceremonies to take place in the rustic Great Hall and the elegant formal rooms with up to 120 guests. Alternatively, a celebrant is on offer to carry out a blessing and formal exchange of vows anywhere within the house, beautiful clock tower or within the grounds.
You and your guests will be given exclusive use of the venue and grounds, enabling your wedding to be private and intimate.
