Info about Chatsworth House
The Stables is the perfect venue for your wedding with beautiful rooms for your ceremony and reception, designed by James Paine in 1758.
Chatsworth has a long history of hospitality and entertaining. The house has been open to visitors ever since it was built and has been the home of the Cavendish family for more than 450 years. Our civil ceremonies, civil partnerships and receptions are held in beautiful rooms situated in the impressive Stables courtyard.
Chatsworth couples really do make an entrance with exclusive access to the stables via Lodge Hill in their chosen wedding car or carriage.
The Hartington room is our largest ceremony space and has recently undergone a full refurbishment. The room is bright and welcoming and contains the original features from the stables. It is the perfect venue for our larger weddings, holding up to 80 guests.
The Racing room, originally the tack room, is perfect for smaller, more intimate weddings and is decorated with paintings from the Devonshire Collection.
If you are looking for something extra special, then the Chatsworth House wedding is perfect for you.
The spectacular Painted Hall is now licensed to hold civil ceremonies and civil partnerships.
Chatsworth couples will be able to say "I do" on the steps of the Great Stairs in this truly magnificent setting.
This is a small intimate wedding for 40 guests.
If your guest list is a little larger, then we are able to offer you a magnificent marquee situated on the private South Front Lawn where you will enjoy your wedding breakfast and evening party.
