Berkeley Castle is a medieval fortress which was originally built in the 14th century. On the inside, beautiful illustrated stained glass windows, original floorings, oudenarde tapestries and exquisite gilt furniture offer character and charm which provides an atmosphere of grandeur.

The grounds
In the grounds expect to find a sweeping lawn that wraps around the castle, gorgeous Elizabethan terraces which are filled with bright blooms during the spring and summer months as well as a stunning Lily Pond terrace which is perfect for a drinks reception on a warm summers evening. Looking across the rolling countryside of Gloucestershire sits the Gun Terrace, with beautiful views it creates the most amazing first impression and welcome for your guests.
