Avington Park

Avington Park is a privately owned stately home, which has all the grace and elegance of a fine Country House and provides the most marvellous setting for both a wedding reception and/or ceremony. The house stands in beautiful secluded grounds and yet is conveniently located 5 miles from the historic city of Winchester, 10 minutes from Junction 9 of the M3 and just over one hour from London.

As you drive through the wrought iron gateway and down the long avenue of lime trees, the approach opens out onto well tended lawns bordering the River Itchen and the elegant Palladian facade.

Your guests may enter through the main entrance into the painted hall, where in winter they would be welcomed by a roaring log fire, and then move on into the library, which leads out onto the south lawns. The library and conservatory will seat 100 people comfortably. Larger parties can be accommodated by using a marquee off the library.

Exclusive use of the house and grounds is offered, so the house really is yours for the day.
