Ceilidh Up To 3 Hours (Midnight Finish)

Hello and thank you for your enquiry. Annasach Ceilidh Band would be available and delighted to play for your ceilidh. Our standard fee for a ceilidh up to three hours long and finishing by midnight includes – • Three piece band of fiddle, piano and bass. • A dedicated, experienced dance “caller”. • Fully PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) tested PA system and lighting. • Public Liability Insurance. • All travel expenses to your venue. Our typical evening would be playing from 9pm until midnight, and we would require an hour before the start time to set-up. We normally take up to a 30 minute break (although not if playing for 2 hours or less) in the middle of the evening, for example timed with the buffet, although all timings are flexible and we can cater for your individual requirements. Annasach has been playing for ceilidhs, parties, birthdays, folk festivals and weddings since 1990 throughout Scotland, the UK and most recently Germany, France, Portugal and Switzerland. We have a solid reputation, providing an energetic vibrant sound to entertain your guests. We have a dedicated dance caller, Tricia (who is probably the most important member of the band!), who has years of experience and is guaranteed to calm any nerves and make sure that everyone enjoys themselves. If you would like to come and see Annasach play live then we regularly play for public ceilidhs and we would be happy to provide you with a pair of complimentary tickets! With Annasach you are dealing with the musicians directly and we know how important the music is to your evening for generating the perfect atmosphere. BLACK VELVET BAND CEILIDH TRIO provides two musicians (guitar/vocals or accordion & fiddle) + dance caller to perform 2 x 1 hour sets of ceilidh dancing in a 3 hour period. Recent review: The band were great and everyone had a good time joining in with the dancing. I was told that the caller was “dry as the Aticama desert” but unfortunately a few of my guests and myself included felt he came across as a little rude on occasions. Also I know it’s traditional that men dance with women but I have quite a few male friends in same sex relationships and there were a couple of occasions where this wasn’t taken into consideration. Maybe just referring to partners 1 and 2 would have been more inclusive for a less traditional crowd. However, the music was great and the callers direction and instruction was very clear. He made the dances easily understood for people of all ages and abilities so we didn’t get in to many tangles. Communication with Mike before the party was great and they all arrived in plenty of time to set up without any problems. It was a great night and I really enjoyed my first ever Barn Dance!

Recent review: A fantastic band with so much patience! We ended up having a couple adjustments to the schedule we were going to follow, plus an unexpected delay to the actual start of the music playing, but Spill the Whiskey were really good at going with the flow. They managed to get almost all the guests off their chairs -- the only ones who didn't get up were those who couldn't, and made dancing fun for everyone involved. We had actual people who knew how to dance, people who had no clue, and people who shouldn't be allowed on a dancefloor (me) but somehow the band played songs that worked for all of us and the amount of fun we had just cannot be put into words. Also, they ended their set beautifully, giving us a chance to go round all our guests and exchange a few words and a hug, which meant the world to me. Fantastic band, I very much recommend them!

Recent review: I booked Phil and the Brewery Band to play at my 50th birthday party in Gloucester 1st Feb 2020. There were so many different bands to choose from, but I know now I definitely picked the right band to entertain me and my guests. Communication between myself and Phil before my party was good and when I met Phil and the band on the night all members were friendly and had smiles.
