Will Scott is a versatile guitarist and musician who graduated from the Royal College of Music with First Class Honours and was winner of The 2018 RCM Guitar Prize. He studied with Gary Ryan and Chris Stell and jazz guitar with Milton Mermikedes.

Will began learning electric guitar at the age of eight and with the encouragement from Jimmy Page, took up the classical guitar, aged eleven.

In June, Will premiered William Lovelady’s Passing Time, dedicated to the late Roland Dyens at Linden Hall Studio, Deal. He has also performed new contemporary guitar works at the National Portrait Gallery and premiered a commissioned work for the Meraki Guitar Quartet as part of international women’s day. Will has played at the International Guitar Festival in London and has performed at venues such as the National Portrait Gallery, Drapers’ Hall, the South Bank Centre, The V&A and the Albert Hall. Will’s guitar playing has also been used for a BBC documentary about the Portuguese artist, Paula Rego.

He has an eclectic repertoire ranging from traditional Classical, Spanish, Jazz, Latin and Pop. Will is very flexible and can play a variety of genres or even compose/arrange unique pieces suitable for special occasions.

Will has had years of experience playing at weddings, corporate events and dinner parties. His playing proved to be very popular by creating a subtle ambient sound that relaxes guests making the occasion more entertaining.

Thank you for entertaining us so well at Drapers Hall. Wills performance was exceptional and filled our large hall with the warm sounds of Andelucia on a cold English night. Many thanks and come again. Best wishes. Steven Beharrell. Master Draper. 2018

From the moment we met Will, we knew he would be perfect for our wedding day. Will took the time to visit us at our home and demonstrate what he could do. Our wedding was held in the great hall at Tonbridge Castle and Will’s beautifully paired down rendition of The Godfather Theme tune for the Bridal entrance was absolutely spellbinding. Will later played at our reception venue where he performed our selected Latin and Bossa Nova sounds for our guest awaiting our arrival. Will absolutely got the mood right and we would have no hesitation in recommend Will. Melissa & David - July 2017

“He listened to everything we asked for and made it happen - he even sent me samples before the day! Throughout, Will was very professional and personable - we couldn't recommend him enough.” Jodie & Ed – Wedding 2016
