Tom Dawson Wedding Films

I’ve been creating video for over 10 years. There is really nowhere I won’t go to make a film and so far have traveled around shooting weddings in London, Somerset and Brighton and further afield.

I’m a trained photographer and camera nerd. I own dozens of old film and Polaroid cameras.
I also love cine cameras and have been known to shoot in Super-8.

I own two very lively dachshunds called Ned and Ronnie Barker. They often 'assist' in the editing process.

I am mad keen on growing my own veg on my allotment and brewing my own beer – free samples available on request

My wife says that my wedding films make her cry even though she has not met the bride and groom. True story.

How I work
When recording your big day my number one aim is that you can relax and enjoy yourself, not be worrying or distracted by me filming. I won’t pose you or ask you do anything again (I let the photographer do that). I aim to be as invisible as possible and couples often say they forgot I was there! I just focus on capturing all the big moments as well as the little details that help make up the day.

I use DSLR cameras to record your wedding, which means they are small and unobtrusive. 99% of your guests will probably think I am another photographer (I get asked to take someone’s picture at every wedding…)

Speaking of photographers, we work very well together and I make sure we can both get what we need from the day without putting any extra pressure on you.
