The Basie Millers formed in 2013 with one mission: to make people dance! Since then, we’ve relentlessly filled dance floors in some of London’s finest venues with a blend of classic soul, funk and carefully-selected contemporary pop hits.
One of the things we hear the most when we come off stage is that not only did people love the set, they also loved how much we looked like we were having a brilliant time. And we are! Not only do we get to play the music that we’re passionate about, we also get to be part of a room full of people hurling themselves around a dance floor – what could be more fun?!
We’re all lovers of soul music and we strive to stay true to that and create an authentic sound. Unlike many function bands, we play the music we truly love, and that shows in the quality and honesty of our performances.

• Nov. 4, 2017The Basie Miller’s played at our Civil Partnership and were fantastic. The guests were dancing all night long and so many said to me that it was the best band they’d ever heard at a wedding. They’re talented musicians with a fabulous lead singer; the range of songs is diverse but all designed to get everyone dancing and they’re willing to learn a couple of new songs to make the event even more special. If you want a great night at your event, book them!!!!
