As a juggler, magician, escapologist, comedian, balloon twister, swordsman and object equilibrist, Erwyd le Fol: The Conwy Jester is a one-man modern variety sensation with packages to suit most performing situations. In short, Erwyd is the choice of event organisers across the UK and beyond.
Erwyd is able to provide acts that last 5 to 10-minutes for circus, variety, cabaret or burlesque shows. He can deliver a full 30-minute street show that is ideal for festivals and other outdoor events, he has a 45-minute children's show ideal for any sized venue from a living room to a theatre stage, and he can bring an hour-long stage show that's perfect for after-dinner entertainment at corporate events.
If mix and mingle is your thing Erwyd's giant pirate puppets are the perfect alternative to stilt walkers. He is also an accomplished balloon twister and is perfect for adults as well as children.
In August 2015 Erwyd made international press when he became the official resident jester of Conwy Town, North Wales. Since then his jester persona has become extremely popular with audiences of all ages. However, other characters are also available.
As well as being a performer in his own right, Erwyd is also an accomplished compere and host.
Plus, if being active is more your thing Erwyd also offers one of the best circus workshop experiences in the country having been booked for corporate team building days as well as schools, youth clubs and both Scout and Girl Guide groups all over Europe.
FAQs
How long is your performance?
Performance time vary depending on the service provided. Individual acts are between 5 and 10 minutes. Full shows last from 20 minutes to an hour.
Are you DBS checked?
No. I do not have a DBS check as I do not work in the same location with the same children on a regular basis and I am never left alone in charge of children or vulnerable people. However, if your organisation requires me to have one I am more than willing for you to go through the DBS process. Please book enough in advance for the checks to go through.

The Equilibrist: A 10-minute act that involves balancing a series of different objects on the thin, razor edge of a knife that's held between the teeth. Each one more difficult and amazing than the last. Bottles, glassware and even a sword are precariously balanced in different ways. This gravity defying act is perfect for audiences of all ages and would be ideal for circus, variety, cabaret and burlesque shows that are looking for something truly unique.
Comedy Mind Reading: A 5-minute comedy act that's suited to adult cabaret and burlesque shows. During the act a member of the audience has a piece of personal information divined in such a way that you'll be crying with laughter come the end.
Compere/Host: Need a host for your show? Look no further than Erwyd le Fol.
Children's Entertainer: Birthday parties, weddings, schools or anywhere else the younger members of our society need entertaining. Shows generally consist of juggling, magic, balloon twisting, plus audience participation and a tonne of comedy.
School Science Show: Erwyd le Fol is the creator of the much copied show A Circus Science: Forces and Motion. In this show Erwyd teaches primary school level science in a fun and exciting way using juggling, balancing tricks, comedy and even a little bit of magic. Two shows are available. One for KS1 (5-7 year olds) and one for KS2 (8-11 year olds).
Strolling Entertainment: Giant pirates, balloon twisting, stilt walking and even juggling are great for mix and mingle style entertainment.
Street Shows: The perfect show for festivals, fairs, steam rallies or any other outdoor event. A fully self contained 30-minute show.
Publicity Stunts: Escapology is the perfect way to grab attention and promote your event or product. Underwater escapes, suspended escapes and even escapes involving fire are available from Erwyd le Fol.
One-man Show: Ideal for Christmas parties, cruise ships, weddings, corporate events or anyone else looking for a full hour of good, clean fun. Suitable for adults and mixed age audiences.
Circus Workshops: Tightrope, juggling, unicycles, stilts and loads more come as standard with an Erwyd le Fol circus workshop. Structured sessions are available for schools and corporate team building events or drop-in sessions for festivals and fairs. We can work indoors or outside.
