Available as a 2-6 piece band, at budgets to suit. Available for weddings, festivals, parties and special events (Paddy's Day, Burns' Night, New Year's Eve, St George's Day etc...).

With origins in British and Irish traditional music, and a love of folk music and songs, the core band members have years of experience across the South West.

Irish Music Duo - 2 hours

Thank you for your interest in The Blarney Roses. The main elements of our Irish Music duo package are: Up to 2 sets of traditional Irish music - tunes and songs. Each set is usually 45mins to 1 hour. Popular favourites including Wild Rover, Fields of Athenry and Black Velvet Band. We'd like a good hour to set up before the first set. This package assumes a first set starting 19:00 earliest and a second set finishing 22:00 latest.

3 Piece Ceilidh - Up To 2 Hours Of Dancing!

Thank you for your interest in The Blarney Roses. Our basic ceilidh package includes the following: Up to 2 sets with a break between them (recommended 20-30 minute break). Each set up to 1 hour in length (recommended 45 minutes). Full PA (PAT tested) and public liability insurance. The basic package includes 3 musicians, 1 of whom also acts as the caller, giving the dance instructions. We work with a range of musicians and will try to match your preference of mix between tune, rhythm and percussion instruments. We recommend at least 2 tune instruments. The basic package assumes a start time of 19:00 earliest, and an end time of 22:00 latest. We ask for a good hour to set up and sound check, immediately before the first set. There are a range of additional options. Please see below. Please note, the travel quote is for 2 cars.

    Andrew James has called at Purbeck Valley Folk Festival, Folk on the Quay, Wessex Folk Festival and Wimborne Folk Festival.

    Our caller also plays the accordion. We have musicians with years of professional experience, including major festivals.
  • What kind of events do you usually serve?
    Weddings, festivals, birthdays and special occasions.

    BACS in advance or cash on the day.
  • How long do you play for?
    We usually play for 2 sets of 45 minutes to an hour.
  • Do you have your own PA and lighting?
    We can provide PA and some basic lighting.
  • My favourite tune is not on your list. Will you be able to play it?
    We're always happy to look at special requests. There may be an additional cost for this service.
  • How many breaks do you take? How long are they?
    Ideally we'd need a 15-30 minutes break between sets.
