Welcome to ShaNZ Kai, my name is Shanon and I’m originally from New Zealand. I have lived in the UK for 11 years and it is here where I’ve gained the skills to become a proficient chef. I love to cook and have trained in many cuisines over the last decade.
I have catered for large parties such as weddings, right down to intimate meals for two. Now is the time for me to cater for you in your home or venue choice, where I can work with you and create the perfect meal for your special occasion.
I may be new to private catering but my successful career has prepared me adequately to start this adventure with confidence.
I enjoy cooking all foods and being creative with new menus, however, I feel that French and Italian are my forte.
As previously mentioned I am a true Kiwi and we have some interesting classic desserts which I would be excited to serve to you such as pavlova, lolly cake and ambrosia (not the rice kind).
I am available for all days of the week as long as it’s not booked and I look forward to hearing from you.

ShaNz Kai - 3 Course Meal

This package includes a three-course meal with a side of vegetables, meat and vegetarian options are available. The client and I can discuss menu options or alternatively they can choose from my menus. Drinks aren’t included in this package. Dietary requirements will be adhered to. I envisage to be at the venue for a maximum of 6 hours, I will arrive at approx. 2-3 hours before service begins and will clean down at the end of your meal. Your kitchen will be left as it is found.

    No not a this time.

  • Is it possible to adapt/modify the menu?

    Menus can be change I can work directly with the client to their requirements.

  • What kind of cuisine do you offer?

    I can offer a wide range I’ve cooked in French doing most of it with Brasserie Blanc. Also in British , European, New Zealand and a some Asian cuisine I’m currently working with Italians and learning their food and culture.

  • Do you offer special menus?

    I feel each client deserve special attention, if they would like a special menu we can do it. M
