Based in Manchester, and with an additional North London base, Michael Hope is a pianist and singer specialising in Jazz Music, with wide ranging and regular experience of playing solo, duo, small ensemble and Big Band repertoire with numerous groups. For almost two decades Michael has studied piano, specialising in Jazz performance for nearly a third of that time. He is a highly able and confident singer as well, with a wide wealth of experience of singing with both small groups and large choirs, as well as in a solo context, in many prestigious venues, including London’s Wigmore Hall. Michael is a very able sight-reader who is extremely quick to learn new songs and pieces to suit the demands of your event, learning both by ear as well as through notation. - How many breaks do you take? How long are they?A break of between 10 and 20 minutes per 90 minutes of playing is preferable, although special arrangements can be negotiated on an individual basis.
