Magic Mel has lived a lifetime in magic. Born in Derbyshire, from a very young age he enjoyed watching artists such as David Nixon and Tommy Cooper etc on television. He progressed to become an accomplished magician and comedian and was able to take on a wider circle of events with larger audiences.
Mel turned professional in 1996 and his talents have taken him all over the East Midlands performing stage and cabaret shows, close-up magic, and his Cast A Spell With Magic Mel party show, at an array of different venues to audiences of all ages.
At corporate functions, weddings and adult's parties Mel can perform a comedy magic show, cabaret-style magic, and close-up magic all tailored to suit your event.

What can I say about this fantastic magician? He is truly magical and left all our guests (including ne) baffled with his tricks. Mel was hired to be the magician at my husband Philip's 65th birthday party bt me as a total surprise. Philip was totally impressed. All of Mel's magic was done with great humour, he is really funny and kept making people laugh. His personality is fabulous and he did everything so professionally and yet with his great big beautiful smile. Option 1: Reception, during photographs
While the main wedding party is busy having photographs taken, many of your other guests are left waiting. Mel will entertain each group with his own style of mix and mingle magic, this is ideal for breaking the ice and is designed to put your guests at ease. This is normally a 1 hour booking.
Option 2: A Wedding Breakfast
Mel visits each table, with his own brand of close-up magic, entertaining you and your guests until the start of speeches or coffee. This is normally a 2 hour booking.
Option 3: An Evening Function
Mel mingles and entertains your guests as they arrive and gather for the evening function. Mel ensures that all guests are entertained with close-up magic, this smoothes out any potential down time, such as guests waiting for a turn at the buffet. Mel continues to entertain your guests until the band or disco take over. This is normally a 2 hour booking.
