I’m Matt, a creative Devon Wedding Photographer based in Plymouth. I cover Devon, Cornwall and can travel to your wedding throughout the UK and abroad. No wedding is too close or too far away.

My reasons for becoming a wedding photographer came to me after my wedding day. The pictures from that day, or should I say, the lack of pictures, gave me the understanding of how important this day is to be documented for others. I pride myself on being able to produce the highest standard of photography. My customers love the natural style of photography and my relaxed personality.

If I’m not taking or editing pictures you can find me consuming copious amounts of coffee in various coffee shops all over Plymouth. Whilst drinking coffee and chatting with friends and family, I really enjoy people watching. It’s great how much you can learn about people by taking a moment to stop and watch them. I like to watch relationship interactions, to see them having fun, laughing and joking. I find this really fascinating. I suppose weddings are my opportunity to photograph these events unfolding in front of me.

I notice the little things whilst taking pictures. I’m always on the lookout for what’s in the background of my pictures. I’m particular and like my family photography to be symmetrical. I keep it natural and relaxed.

I really don’t like the camera being pointed at me, so I understand how you feel. This is another reason why people book me. I’ll help you to relax and we can hopefully have some fun.

I’ll photograph your wedding in my own unique style. Behaving like a photojournalist I attempt to move without being noticed, capturing candid moments and events as they unfold in front of me. Most importantly, I capture the images that tell your story.

As your photographer I aim to give you a personalised service. I’m always by the phone if you need to call or message me and it’s me that you book, not an associate photographer so I’ll be the one photographing your wedding. I will also edit your wedding pictures myself.

I’ll help to keep you calm on your wedding day and during the build up to it (I’m usually booked 12 months prior to your date). I’m always be available for a quick call, message or coffee and a chat if you need advice or have any worries.
