Las Guadalupes are named after the patron saint of Mexico, La Virgen de Guadalupe, and they channel the authentic spirit of mariachi music, bringing it to the world and to your heart.
The earliest mariachi groups in the mid 19th century through to the start of the 20th century had only guitar, violin and harp - the full mariachi with trumpets, guitarron and many musicians was a modern development in the mid 19th century. Las Guadalupes are going back to the early roots of mariachi music, playing traditional pieces with guitar and violin in the authentic mariachi style.
Las Guadalupes have performed nationally and internationally, most recently including the 2019 International Mariachi Women's Festival in Los Angeles, California, the 2019 Cinco de May festival in Pop Brixton, and the 2019 British Banking Awards and have been covered in press including La Opinión, El Ibérico and The Evening Standard.

Amazing first show at the Bassment! Authentic, skilful playing, beautiful voices... Las Guadalupes captivated the room and transported us to a different time and place. Can't wait to have them back!

Excellent performance for a 50th Birthday. Both very friendly and accommodating for song choices. Well worth booking.

"Las Guadalupes starred in our short film ""Odds On"" and were a treat to work with. Despite the long filming hours and additional acting required, they performed with so much enthusiasm and were a pleasure to have on set. They are extremely talented, funny and a joy to work with. Not only were they happy with everything we needed from them, they contributed great ideas to their roles. We hope they enjoyed the day as much as we enjoyed having them. Highly recommended!"

We had the pleasure of meeting DeAnna and Ingrid in January where they performed for us in our primary school. We celebrated our new topic 'Hola Mexico!' with them. They were great fun and informed the children about their marvelous Mariachi music. A lovely pair of performers and pleasure to meet. I would definitely re-book Las Guadalupes for future events.
