Jennifer Burman is a versatile, talented singer. Having trained classically, she can perform anything from opera to pop and rock, in a style that suits your event environment. She owns her own PA and over 500 backing tracks of songs from Peggy Lee to Jess Glynne, Katherine Jenkins to Eva Cassidy, Stevie Wonder to Bon Jovi. Jennifer is a fast learner and can learn any genre for your party, singing a soothing choral piece one minute and a big band hit the next. Looking for more of a "party band" set but don't want to pay full band prices? Jennifer specialises in soul, motown and disco music, including classic party tunes from 1950s to Uptown Funk, and can really make your night go with a bang.
Should you require something more acoustic, together with her professional guitarist partner, Jennifer can put together set lists of exceptional quality for background or forefront music.

Jennifer ... what can I say!?! The girl is an absolute star! A wonderful voice, versatile genre of musical style; all delivered in a professional package. She was highly commended by everyone at my 60th party (ages ranging from 20 to 75). Jenny had such an easy way about her - I can’t remember the dance floor being empty all evening. I’m seriously thinking about have a 60 & a half birthday in September!

  • What equipment do you require for gigs?

I have my own PA and wired microphone with stands etc. I also own a wireless microphone with receiver that can plug directly into your in-house PA system. For backing tracks I work from an iPad, so a long input lead is necessary.

  • Have you any special requirements for performances?

All I ask for is a clean, ideally lockable dressing area, and water provided for the performance.

  • Where are you based?

I am based in Colchester, Essex, with excellent transport links nationwide. From November 2015 I will have my own car for transport.

  • What if the party goes so well, we want you to sing on? And can you change genre/style halfway through?

Dependant on transport links and prior commitments, I'm happy to perform for as long as you'd like. I take all backing tracks to gigs, so if there's a different style you'd like, just let me know and we can work it out! I take song requests too.

  • We have a favourite song for our event - will you sing it?

Short answer - yes! I love learning requests and new songs, and if you give me a minimum of a week's notice I can have it learnt for your event.

  • How do we pay you?

I prefer cash on the night, but BACS payment is fine and must be made within 14 days of invoicing. I send everything via email, so it's straightforward.
