We are Lucy Ahfong, Jaimie Lyne and Joseph Lyne, family friends who are of Chinese Hakka origin. From a young age, we were immersed in how to cook and eat Chinese food by our families. Our fondest memories are closely connected with homemade Chinese food. Later on, our lengthy travels opened our eyes to the diversity of China, its food as varied as the people that live there. Then two years ago, our love of food motivated us to give up our professional careers and set up Hao Hao Chi. Since then we have never looked back.
Hao Hao Chi literally means “very good eat” and is a popular phrase in China to express the joy of eating delicious food. We draw our inspiration from family recipes, as well as over 5 years of living and travelling across China. We are proud to prepare our food by hand, using real ingredients and using traditional methods where possible. We aim to serve tasty food that should make you smile!.
Our specialities are rice bowls, noodles and dumplings.
