Description
Fox & The Hounds is a Mumford & Sons inspired roaming band. The band is primarily booked for their acoustic sets and their ability to stroll through mingling or seated guests and perform for them at their tables or huddles, much like a mariachi band would do. The band can double up and do an electric set in the evening as well for more of a party atmosphere. Their 3-piece lineup is lead vocals with acoustic bass, acoustic guitar with backing vocals, and saxophone with backing vocals. Their full 4-piece lineup includes drums with backing vocals.
The band has one of the biggest repertoires of any roaming act in the UK, and all of the band members sing which means you can expect beautiful breathtaking harmonies throughout their performance. Couple that with their incredibly friendly and kind personalities and you’ve got a recipe for success.
When the band is roaming they create really personal experiences for their client’s guests, which ensures guests and clients have memories that will last a lifetime and be looked upon fondly.
The talented Richard leads the way in Fox & The Hounds. He’s a self-taught vocalist and multi-instrumentalist with perfect pitch. Richard was brought up with singing nearly before he could speak. His vocals are reminiscent of George Michael’s, with more richness and power. Richard has been featured on many radio stations as well as graced the stages of BBC Introducing and supported Hawklords (formerly Hawkwind), Scouting for Girls, and The Wurzels. This singer-songwriter-multi instrumentalist is more than capable of delivering a high-quality performance time and time again.
Richard’s confident vocal soars with each song from the band’s 300 song repertoire. Their favourite genres are acoustic-folk, pop, and rock, however, they’ve plenty of Britrock, classic rock, rock n roll, 60s, disco, soul, 80s, 90s, festive, latin/jazz/swing, and even a touch of metal too.
