Can Fortis Hire units be towed onto a field or grass area?
Fortis Hire uses Ford Rangers which enables us to be able to tow onto grass areas or fields. Although the ground does need to be firm and flat to set up the unit and ensure full functionality. If you are worried about tyre marks on the field then we can supply you with contact details of Trackway companies to cover the area where the vehicle and trailers are towed.
How many toilets do I need for my guest?
This is dependent on a few variables, firstly how many guests and secondly how long the event lasts. Our Luxury Toilet calculator tells you what toilet specification you need, but as a rule of thumb the ratio is around one toilet for every 50 guests.
What are the power requirements for the units?
Our fleet requires a standard 13amp/16amp power supply to each unit. Extension cables can be run from the main power supply or alternatively, they can run on a generator. We are more than happy to provide contact details for generator companies.
Does my luxury toilet trailer come with all the usually consumable?
Fortis Hire ensures that each unit arrives on site with all the consumables needed from luxury hand soap to premium paper products. We will ensure you are left with enough based on the number of guests and the length of time of the event.
Insurance for the units?
Once the unit has been delivered and until it is collected, you are responsible for any damage, vandalism or theft of each unit. In most cases event and wedding insurance will include the cover of our toilets but if you have any questions then please just give us a call and we will be more than happy to talk you through the process.

We offer all of our services in the following areas – Hertfordshire, London, Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. If your area isn't mentioned, contact us to explore the options available.
When will my toilet arrive on site and be collected?
For private events, we aim to deliver the unit one or two days before the actual event. In terms of collection, the unit usually gets collected the day after. If you are constrained to certain times and dates for example by the venue, then we will be happy to work with you but please be aware this could be an additional charge. For large public events, delivery and collection times will be agreed on a case by case basis with the event organized.
