I have been a professional chef in my own restaurant for more than 10 years and received further training with former head chef from River Cottage HQ Joe Draper.
I have experience in different cuisines, such as traditional British, Mediterranean, French and Asian. I am keen to explore experimental methods of preparing and presenting food.
Vintage afternoon tea is my speciality, for larger parties or weddings my delicious hog or lamb roasts are perfect and creating mouth-watering, delicious restaurant or family style dinners are popular too.
I cater for weddings, private holiday home catering for special celebrations, including breakfast, takeaway frozen ready meals, corporate venues and holiday retreats. Including catering for children, well-balance family meals and large numbers of guests. Restaurant style dinner for large numbers of guests, at relatively short notice is possible.
My husband Simon works front of house, we set your dining table, using your linens or we provide our own white tablecloths and napkins. Drinks packages are available, or we would be happy to serve your own drinks for you.
The process is quite simple, with a good understanding of your culinary needs and tastes; we can design your menu together or I will create a menu for you.
I use local organic suppliers where possible, with goat meat & pork provided from my own smallholding and the best grass-fed Devon Ruby red beef from local friends and farmers at Little Comfort Farm in Braunton.
Fish and vegetables are provided locally and only from sustainable and ethical suppliers; therefore, our menus are based on seasonal availability.
With an excellent eye for detail and sympathetic understanding of different dietary requirements, allergies and health issues, I do have a good understanding and knowledge of good health and healthy eating.
