Arco brings together many years' experience and high musical standards to form a vibrant music group that will help create the special atmosphere for your event. We are a string quartet but also offer a string duo for smaller spaces or tighter budgets.

Arco are flexible and adaptable and they like to tailor the music to suit you and your guests and give you exactly what you want.

String Quartet: 4 Piece Acoustic Group (1 Hour)

String quartet providing live covers of your favourite music. We play your music choices and have a wide range of styles including pop, film, easy listening, Bollywood, TV, jazz, Christmas and classical music so there is something for everyone. We are booked by the half hour (min. booking 1 hour) and have experience of playing for a wide range of corporate and private events.

String duo providing live covers of your favourite music. We play your music choices and have a wide range of styles including pop, film, easy listening, Bollywood, TV, jazz, Christmas and classical music. We are booked by the half hour (min. booking 1 hour) and have experience of playing for a wide range of corporate and private events.

Wedding String Duo: 2 Piece Acoustic Group (1 Hour)

We are booked by the half hour (min. booking 1 hour) and can play for any part of your day. We play your music choices and have a wide range of pop, film, easy listening and classical music. As a guide: Wedding ceremony We play while guests are seated and then for the bride's entrance, signing of the register and the couple's exit. Total time: 1 hour (civil ceremony), 1.5 hours (most church ceremonies) Ceremony plus drinks reception We play for the ceremony as above and then play background music for you and your guests while you have photos and canapés. Total time: 2 or 2.5 hours (civil ceremony), 3 hours plus travel time to the reception venue (church ceremony). Just drinks reception We play background music for you and your guests while you have photos and canapés. Time: 1 – 1.5 hours. Wedding breakfast Musical accompaniment to your wedding breakfast. Time: approx. 2 hours but check with your venue For events outside Tyne & Wear please select the travel extra when booking.

Stuck for a present while the shops are shut? Give the gift of music with a special personalised recording. Simply pick a piece of music from our string duo playlist, provide your personalised message, and we’ll do the rest. Your loved one will be delighted at having their favourite song recorded by the violin and cello duo, with a special message just for them. If your special song isn’t on our list, you can add our arranging service to your order. You will receive your recording as a personal YouTube link. The private video can be viewed by anyone with the link, meaning you can share it with as many friends and family members as you choose. The recording package also includes a personalised certificate (delivered by email) so you have something to give to your special someone.

  • How can event planners pay for your services?

    Payment is by bank transfer or cheque. We can provide professional invoicing for corporate clients.

  • How long do you play for?

    We are booked by the hour. Minimum booking is 1 hour.

  • Do you have your own PA and lighting?

    We normally play acoustically (without amplification). However, we can provide our own PA system on request.

  • Do you have Public Liability Insurance and PAT tested equipment?

    Yes.

  • My favourite tune is not on your list. Will you be able to play it?

    Yes. We can normally arrange your special song for you at no extra cost.
