Description
My act is best described as cocktail piano music, played on guitar. I have arrangements from a wide range of genres, including jazz, classical, pop, and country. You'll no doubt pick out one or two instrumental versions of songs on my set lists as classics, and I aim to deliver a low-key, sophisticated and relaxed atmosphere with a smile, and a willingness to incorporate pre-requested songs into my set list. I require little space or hassle, and because there is only one of me just think of the money you'll save!
I've been playing music for 9 years, starting when I was 14 in 2006. Since then, I have studied under some of the best sessions musicians in the UK at the London Centre of Contemporary Music, were I achieved a 2:1 in Musical Performance in Guitar. Since then I have begun forging my career as a musician through teaching guitar with the expansive company Your Guitar Academy, playing with various acts and function bands across London and South England and playing solo gigs for functions and restaurants.
FAQs
Do you have your own PA?
Yes I do, but quite often the gigs I play are in intimate settings and I find my amp is enough. If you feel that your event would benefit from a PA then I will it, which brings the fee from £220 to £250.
Are you willing to learn/arrange requested material?
I am willing to take a couple of requests (within reason!) and work them into my set. Price depending on complexity of quantity of material requested.
Do you have overtime charges?
Past 20 minutes over the agreed time, I will charge an extra £20 per 20 minutes (rounded up).
What sets you apart from your competition?
I believe that there is a uniqueness to my act in that no two gigs will sound the same. I 'often improvise tunes on the spot during a set to suit the mood of the event, and they change with every gig.
Do you require a deposit?
For larger events I require a deposit in advance. The amount depends on the agreed rate, and normally I would request the deposit soon after an agreement is settled.
