Description

Price from: £275
In Cumbria and South West Scotland we charge a very reasonable rate depending on distance travelled. Obviously the more mileage the higher the travelling costs.

The Latest Flames are a 100% Live, family trio, featuring Sue (guitar/vocals), Nigel (double bass, bass guitar) and Aimee (drums, mandolin, guitar, vocals, vocal harmony). They play classic hits from the 50's, 60's and 70's plus Country and a little wild Irish music! A mixed audience is their favourite - they excel in busy pubs, WMC's and holiday camps. Fully self contained, NO backing tracks or fake effects: what you see is what you get. Excellent banter - good, clean, old fashioned entertainment! Very popular in Cumbria and South West Scotland, they are keen to venture into new areas.

ALL OWN EQUIPMENT AND LIGHTING. 3x45 minute sets (plus encores) with cd music in the breaks. FULLY INSURED.

"The band were excellent. They arrived at the pre-arranged time in order to set up before our meal. They did this quietly and efficiently.

Our meal and speeches overran by a good 30 minutes but they wre very accomodating and didn't stop playing until well past the original agreed time.

Their choice of music fitted in excellently with the clientele and we thoroughly enjoyed their two sets.

We would have no hesitation in using them again and heartily recommend them to anyone reading this ...

"What an excellent Band, everybody enjoyed the event. The range of music was spot on and the chat between the band (Wife and Husband) made the night.

We will be hiring them again for future festivals

Dave - music arranger,

(As the arranger, I was very happy with their professional approach)"

  • Do you have Public Liability Insurance and PAT tested equipment?
We are members of the MU and our insurance is incorporated in our membership. All of our equipment is regularly tested and very well maintained: it has to be, our livs depend on it.
  • How much space do you require?
We can fit into a surprisingly small space if we cut down our equipment to the bare minimum - and we are happy to do that. However, you will experience a fuller sound and more professional performance if we have 12ft by 8ft.
  • How long do you play for?
We do a max. 3x45 minute sets plus encores.
  • Do you have your own PA and lighting?
We are fully self contained. All own gear and lighting.
  • My favourite tune is not on your list. Will you be able to play it?
If you let us know well in advance, and it is 'of our era' and possible for a three-piece live band to play, then we will give it our very best shot. As a last resort we will put the original recording on cd and play that.
  • How many breaks do you take? How long are they?
We work to the night, dividing our sets up into equal parts and taking the shortest possible breaks, depending on your requirements. We can adapt set lengths and breaks to include bingo, raffles, buffets, cake cutting etc.
  • How can event planners pay for your services?
    Cash on the night.
